Terms of Service

1. About the service

Skiply (skiply.uk, operated by Skiply Ltd, registered in England & Wales [company number to be inserted]) arranges skip hire carried out by licensed local waste operators ("partners"). When you request a quote we'll contact you to confirm the exact price and availability — no hire exists until you confirm it with us on the phone or in writing, and requesting a quote costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

2. Prices

• Prices shown on the site are indicative and include delivery, collection, disposal and VAT.
• Your final price is confirmed before you commit, based on your postcode, skip size and waste type.
• Council permit fees (typically £30–£70) are added at cost where the skip is placed on public land.
• Extra charges may apply only where the load differs from what was agreed (e.g. prohibited or heavier waste) — your partner will always contact you first.

3. Your responsibilities

• Provide safe, reasonable access for delivery and collection.
• Only fill the skip to the rim, with the waste types agreed at booking.
• Never place prohibited items in the skip (see our waste types guide) — including asbestos, fridges, electricals, paints, chemicals, gas cylinders, tyres and batteries.
• Keep required lights/cones in place for skips on public roads, where provided.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel or change a confirmed hire free of charge any time before the skip is dispatched for delivery. As a consumer you also have a statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013; where you ask us to deliver within that period, you agree the service starts early, and a proportionate charge may apply to work already carried out.

5. Liability

Skips are delivered and placed at your direction; partners will take reasonable care but are not liable for damage to unmade or unsuitable surfaces where you've asked for placement. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

6. General
