Good to know
Skipping the permit isn't worth it. Placing a skip on a public road without a permit can mean a council fine of up to £1,000 — and the skip may be removed at your cost.
Permits are for a set period. Usually 1–4 weeks depending on the council. Need the skip longer? We arrange the extension before the permit runs out.
Lights and cones may be required. On-road skips often need reflective cones and night lamps — our local partners provide them where the council requires it.
Planning a same-day delivery? Permits take a few working days, so same-day and next-day delivery is only possible onto private land. If you need the road, book a few days ahead.
