1. Who we are

Skiply ("we", "us") operates the website skiply.uk, a service for arranging skip hire with licensed local operators across the UK. Skiply Ltd is registered in England & Wales [company number to be inserted]. For anything related to your personal data, contact us at contact@skiply.uk.

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

• Quote and callback requests: your name, phone number, postcode and any job details you give us (skip size, waste type, preferred dates, notes). We use these to call you back with a price and arrange your hire — the lawful basis is taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
• Bookings: the above plus your email and delivery address, used to fulfil the hire, arrange any council permit and send confirmations.
• Contact and partner enquiries: the details you submit through our forms, used to respond to you (legitimate interest).

We use your phone number only to contact you about your request. We do not use it for marketing, and we never sell your data.

3. Who we share it with

To fulfil a hire we share the necessary job details (name, phone, address, job information) with the licensed local operator carrying out your delivery and collection, and with the local council where a permit is required. Our systems run on Supabase, hosted in the United Kingdom (AWS London, eu-west-2).

4. How long we keep it

• Quote/callback requests and enquiries: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Booking records: as long as required by law — waste documentation such as Waste Transfer Notes must be kept for at least 2 years.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to data portability. Email contact@skiply.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

6. Changes

If we change this policy we'll update it here and revise the date at the top. Significant changes affecting your rights will be highlighted on the site.
